Your Mission
Lead the planning, execution, and growth of our festival portfolio from concept to live delivery. You’ll oversee everything from operations to on-site management, ensuring each event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impact on our festival community.
Your Objectives
- Deliver outdoor festivals from May – September
- Create a scalable event model that allows us to grow our festival lineup efficiently over the next three years
- Develop new festival formats, bringing fresh ideas to expand our offering and community engagement
Your Responsibilities
- End-to-end festival management – Leading the planning and execution of all aspects of the events
- Budget oversight – Ensuring all festivals hit their profit goals while maintaining high standards
- Event documentation & compliance – Managing production schedules, EMPs, contingency, and emergency plans
- Site planning & design – Using tools like AutoCAD to optimize festival layout for experience, efficiency, and safety
- Stakeholder liaison – Working with venue owners, local authorities, emergency services, and community groups
- Project timelines & milestones – Ensuring every detail is accounted for from pre-production to wrap-up
- Supplier & staffing management – Sourcing top-tier talent and building a strong, reliable festival crew
- On-site festival delivery – Overseeing everything from production teams to bars and traders to ensure smooth execution
- Process development – Refining and documenting workflows to improve efficiency in festival management
- New festival concept development – Researching and testing fresh ideas to push creative boundaries
Your Experience & Skills
- 5+ years in festival or large-scale outdoor event management, with experience handling events of 2,500+ capacity
- 2+ years of team leadership experience, managing employees, suppliers, and freelancers
- Strong site planning skills – Balancing customer experience with operational effectiveness
- Proven budgeting ability – Managing event budgets of at least £500k
- People management expertise – From full-time staff to creative and technical teams
- Strong issue-resolution skills – Keeping events on track under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills – From stakeholder meetings to on-site team briefings
- Expertise in event documentation – Including EMPs, production schedules, and project management tools
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD or similar mapping software
- Deep knowledge of the Purple Guide and industry best practices

- A full driving license
